Pro bono programs are considered as an indicator of high corporate culture. Beside their social impact pro bono programs also bring various benefits to the company, that can be grouped into three main categories:

- Pro bono programs strengthen the company reputation as a socially responsible company and show the public the company’s ‘humane image’, increase company’s visibility
- Pro bono programs effectively demonstrate the company’s expertise and competences.
Effective management of human resources and improvement of inter-corporate relations
- Pro bono programs strengthen relations between coworkers, and improve the corporate climate;
- Pro bono programs raise employees’ motivation and their loyalty to the company - employees are proud to work for a company that implements socially beneficial programs and they are proud to personally be involved in such programs;
- Pro bono programs enhance recruitment of new employees and make it easier to attract and retain qualified workers.
Improving the employees practical skills, and providing opportunities for innovation
- Participation in pro bono programs is an effective means for employees’ professional development and refining their practical skills.
- Application of employees’ knowledge and professional skills in a new, unusual context for a different client and regarding different objectives, help develop creative thinking and innovative approaches, that are then brought back and applied to the business.
- An absolute majority of HR managers of the companies involved in pro bono programs believes that those programs improve leadership, oral presentation and client interaction skills of their employees(“Pro Bono Volunteering Research Report,” LBG Associates, 2009).
