Global Pro Bono Forum
PILnet’s Annual European Pro Bono forum shifts locations each year, weaving its way over the last nine years from Budapest, Berlin and Warsaw, to Madrid, Paris, London, Rome and Amsterdam, Hong Kong, Bangkok, Bali, and Moscow. Objective of the Forum is to encourage and enable more lawyers and law firms to participate in pro bono, so they can better contribute to serving the community and improving access to justice. Through interactive workshops, engaging social events, and structured networking opportunities, attendees - individuals from law firms, corporations, bar organizations, NGOs, and law schools - gain insight into the pro bono community and forge alliances that can help address critical issues of social justice and protect rights around the world. At the beggining, the forum was called European Pro Bono forum and presence of pro bono was modest in Europe. Later, while pro bono has become established and embedded among communities across the globe, the event became Global Pro Bono Forum.
