The civil society organization "Let's Go" is the first and most popular carpooling organization in Georgia. The main purpose of the organization is to develop and promote a culture of carpooling and raise public awareness about the car sharing opportunities in Georgia. Also, the organization is working on creating the necessary infrastructure for relocation.

The organization has formed as a platform where willing drivers and passengers connect with each other by sharing costs and driving from one place to another at a relatively low cost.

PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:

Due to the fact that the organization is not for-profit, they started collecting donations from the members of the group since 2020. The purpose of crowdfunding is to develop and strengthen the platform by creating a website to make the communication between the drivers and passengers more easier. In order for the incoming funds to be properly accounted for and also for the payments to be made on time and correctly, the organization needed assistance.

SERVICES DELIVERED:

Based on the identified needs, the consulting company ACG Consulting was involved in a long-term consultation and mentoring process with the organization Let's Go. Which means that within a year the company manages and mentors the organization to properly record its own transactions and communicate with the Revenue Service.

Pro Bono consultation is mediated by the Center for Strategic Research and Development of Georgia within the frames of Civil Society STAR Initiative: CSOs as Sustainable, Transparent, Accountable and Resilient Development Actors in Georgia’. The project is funded by the European Union and Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung.
