Green Gift is a social enterprise, which resuses waste paper by collecting and recycling them and producing various ecofriendly pruducts. The mission of social enterprise is to facilitate the sustainable development, strengthen waste management policy and create jobs, which will foster employment and in overall, will benefit the country. The main directions of the enterprise's occupation are: raising the awarness of the society about environmental issues, facilitate waste management culture among companies, population, etc. organizing various educational activities, trainings, events about environmental issues to promote and popularize the topic
Problem Description:
Green Gift was founded in 2017. Since then social enterprise is successfully operating on the market. Based on the fact, that enterprise is developing and growing, it needs transformation to adapt the changes. The enterprise needs to adjust and reorginize various legal documents and consult with professional laywer.
Services Delivered:
In 2019, as part of pro bono consultation, series of meeting have been conducted between the team of lawyers of BDO Georgia and representatives of social enterprise "Green Gift". The following works have been carried out as part of pro bono consultation:
Result of Pro Bono Mediation:
Team of lawyers of the BDO Georgia, based on evaluation and relevant recommendations, suggested possible changes in the following legal documents of social enterprise: the Founders' Meeting, Appointment to the Board, Charter of the Social Enterprise, Consent for appointment as CEO;
The team of BDO Georgia was consisted of David Gelashvili (Partner, BDO Legal) and Ana Mekhradze (Associate, BDO Legal).

Pro bono consultation was mediated by the Center for Strategic Research and Development of Georgia within the frames of "Georgian Civil Society Sustainability Initiative". The initiative is funded by the European Union and co-funded by Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS). The project is implemented by Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS).
