Pro Bono provider: Credo Bank
Beneficiaries: "Care for homeless animals" - Tornike Zhuzhniashvili, Tserovani initiative group, Mtskheta-Mtianeti
Problem description: In September-November 2022, members of the Pro Bono Network and partner companies implemented a large-scale pro bono project, which involved assisting civil activists to prepare presentations on initiatives. Activists had to present their presentations in the competition at the Community Leaders Forum - "Best Community Initiative 2020-2021" 5 business companies, and representatives of 4 pro bono networks were involved in the process: Bank of Georgia, TBC Bank, Credo Bank, Crystal, and pro bono network non-member company "Aldagi".
Briefly about the initiative: Tserovani IDP settlement is located next to the central highway of Georgia and has become a shelter for abandoned dogs. Uncontrolled reproduction of dogs, contagious diseases, unsanitary conditions, and cruel treatment by humans - this is an incomplete list of everyday problems that the dogs of the Tserovani IDPs' settlement have. Tornike Zhuzhniashvili sterilized the first dog with a small amount of funding intended for IDPs, then he took a loan to help other dogs and started fighting this problem.
Services delivered: The preparatory period of the pro bono project ended in October. Mari Lomidze, the representative of Credo Bank, was actively involved in the consultation process with Tornike Zhuzhniashvili. 6 meetings and 5 pro bono hours were devoted to consultations by the company.
The outcome of pro bono mediation: Finally, a 6-minute video clip was prepared, played in the background during Tornike's presentation, and showed the initiative before and now in Tserovani. At the event held on November 9, Tornike Zhuzhniashvili and the 'Tserovani Initiative Group' received financial support from CSRDG and Credo Bank, thus they will continue to help homeless animals.
