Company: Bank Credo | English version
Beneficiary: Hospice "Peristshaleba"

About the Organization:

Hospice "Peristshaleba" was established in Tbilisi in 2028 with the mission of supporting individuals during the most challenging and significant moments of their lives. The hospice provides palliative and geriatric care to patients and their families, offering physical and spiritual support, improving the quality of life for individuals with chronic and incurable diseases, and ensuring they live and die with dignity. Additionally, it advocates for quality care and professional education in palliative and geriatric services.

The hospice operates in several areas, including a nursing home and home care services:

  • Nursing Home: Located adjacent to a monastery, the Sisters of Charity provide 24-hour care to six seriously ill patients free of charge.
  • Home Visits: On weekdays, 80 patients across Tbilisi receive 1.5-hour home visits for physical care and moral support. This service is free of charge.
  • 24-Hour Home Care Service: Up to 30 patients receive customized care daily, with service duration based on individual needs. This service is fee-based.

Problem description:

Hospice "Peristshaleba" requires the establishment of a formal internal structure. This includes defining relationships between the governing and management bodies, clarifying lines of subordination, and developing an organizational framework.

Services delivered:

On 24 October 2024, Inga Talakvadze, an HR Department employee at Bank Credo, participated in a pro bono project to analyze and refine the hospice's organizational chart. Bank Credo contributed a total of 3 hours and 50 minutes to this initiative.

Result of Pro bono mediation:

As part of the project, a new organizational chart for Hospice "Peristshaleba" was developed. The updated structure improves the alignment between governing and management levels, ensuring more effective internal operations.

Mediator: Pro Bono services are mediated by the Center for Strategic Research and Development of Georgia within the frames of the "Georgian Civil Society Sustainability Initiative”. The initiative is funded by the European Union and co-funded by Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS). The project is implemented by Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS)
