Pro Bono provider: Crystal
Beneficiaries: "NTI in your home" - Kamran Afendiyev, New Thinking Institute, Kvemo Kartli
Problem description: In September-November 2022, members of the Pro Bono Network and partner companies implemented a large-scale pro bono project, which involved assisting civil activists to prepare presentations on initiatives. Activists had to present their presentations in the competition at the Community Leaders Forum - "Best Community Initiative 2020-2021" 5 business companies, and representatives of 4 pro bono networks were involved in the process: Bank of Georgia, TBC Bank, Credo Bank, Crystal, and pro bono network non-member company "Aldagi".
Briefly about the initiative: The "NTI at your home" initiative of the "New Thinking Institute" organization was implemented during the pandemic. The first regulations related to the pandemic were introduced in Kvemo Kartli, Marneuli district. NTI conducted a telephone survey to identify the needs of the students, and as a result, it was determined that the students needed to be engaged in various activities without leaving the house and had some ideas of how they could cope with stress and develop their creative skills at the same time. This is exactly how the "NTI in your home" campaign was created with the joint decision of the students and the organization. The goal of the campaign was to create an installation of illustrations that would be based on children's drawings and imagination, which would contain Georgian folk tales in the Azerbaijani language and Azerbaijani folk tales in the Georgian language.
Services delivered: The pro bono engagement process started in October. To get the final product, 5 meetings were needed, which totaled 6 hours. The process of joint work between Lika Salukvadze and Kamran Efendiyev, an employee of Crystal, an organization of financial inclusion, was interesting and fruitful.
The outcome of pro bono mediation: During the meetings, the action plan was determined, and the content and sequence of the presentation were prepared. On November 9, at an event held by Kamran Efendiyev, a prize of 500 GEL from CSRDG and 500 pounds from the University of Birmingham were presented to the "Institute of New Thought" selected by the jury under the initiative of Kamran Efendiyev.
