TBC Leasing and Community Center Ani-Bani Join Forces in Pro Bono Program
Pro Bono Provider: TBC Leasing
Beneficiary: Community Union "Ani-Ban" - Communication Campaign
20.4.2023/25.07.2023
Brief Information About the Organization: Established in 2018 in the village of Karmana, the Community Union "Ani-Bani" is the brainchild of Ana Jariashvili, a resident of the same village. The organization focuses on informal education for young people and the economic empowerment of women. Operating from its own building (several rooms in the old administrative building), Ani-Bani hosts meetings and conducts free training sessions. Currently, they offer a cycle of free training programs, including computer skills enhancement, an English language basic course, and cutting and sewing learning courses.
Problem description: Ani-Bani places a special emphasis on the non-formal education of young people. Despite the presence of a library in the village's public school, students have limited access to books. The existing library lacks modern literature. In response, the Community Union, along with volunteers, aims to diversify and make their library more accessible. The youth themselves aspire to organize a campaign to collect books within the Lagodekhi district. They seek pro bono assistance in planning the campaign, defining communication messages, and forming an action plan.
Services delivered: To address the pro bono need, three consultation meetings took place between TBC Leasing's communication team and Ani-Bani's representatives. The meetings focused on determining campaign resources, identifying the target audience, and refining key messages. TBC Leasing's communication team dedicated a total of 18 pro bono hours to implement the project.
Result of Pro bono mediation: The collaboration resulted in a comprehensive communication campaign plan. Notably, the engagement of TBC Leasing's employees went beyond strategic planning; they actively participated in the book collection campaign for Ani-Bani's library. This combined approach exemplifies a pro bono project that provides both material and non-material support.
Mediator: Pro Bono services are mediated by the Center for Strategic Research and Development of Georgia within the frames of the "Georgian Civil Society Sustainability Initiative”. The initiative is funded by the European Union and co-funded by Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS). The project is implemented by Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS)
