Interior design for the new social enterprise "Orbis Bude" - 27.02.2023 – 17.05.2023

Pro Bono provider: Student of Georgian Technical University Faculty of Architecture and Design - Beka Satseradze, and professional interior designer Salome Chkonia.

Beneficiary: Orbis bude

Problem description: “Orbis Bude” is a social enterprise, which is located in the village of Samshvilde, and its goal is to create a special space for travelers, which will be a guide to historical routes and a place for new, interesting activities.

The company wants to establish itself as a local tourist destination. There are several buildings in the area that were not finished and needed interior and exterior design.

Services delivered:

A group of pro bono consultants, consisting of a design company and professional Salome Chkonia, a student of Georgia Technical University - Beka Satseradze, and a volunteer gardener - Maya Tsignadze, worked on pro bono consultations with social enterprise Orbis Bude regarding interior design.

In total, 52 pro bono hours were spent by Beka Satseradze, and 2 hours by Salome Chkonia, 6 hours by Maia Tsignadze for the preparation of the project.

Beka Satseradze carried out measurement works of the complete building structure, selection of interior/furniture styles and textures, and 3D assembly of the visual project. He was also involved in the process of making furniture.

Result of Pro bono mediation: As a result of pro bono mediation, the design project of the tourist information building was prepared. The patio landscaping plan and patio furniture visual style were determined.
