Beneficiary: The Employment Program (Employment Shuttle)

The Employment Shuttles are a component within the LIFE Georgia project, which is implemented by a consortium of local organizations led by ACF. It is based on the innovative Spanish methodology of ‘Vives Emplea’ and aims to promote social and labor inclusion of unemployed IDPs and vulnerable individuals in Georgia and take steps forward to improve their social skills, personal and professional competences for employability.

An employment shuttle consists of 20 proactive and motivated unemployed people, who with the help of a coach, work as a team in order to encourage the labor inclusion of all members of the team. The Employment Shuttle operates for five months, where the participants improve their work competences and social skills, in order to find employment.

Problem Description:

One of the important directions of the program is the mediation with companies and corporate volunteerism. Companies’ representatives are visiting participants in order to deliver the training sessions and workshops on specific topics that would contribute to the personal and professional skills’ development in participants and increase chances for their employment.

Services Delivered:

Manager of HR Department of MFO “Crystal” has delivered three workshops “How to Become Successful” to program beneficiaries. Each workshop lasted for two hours and covered the issues on:

  • Establishing contacts and networking;
  • Effective use and management of social media;
  • Self-Branding;
  • Maintaining the motivation;
  • Qualities of leader and manager;
  • Working in stressful situations

Result of Pro Bono Mediation:

Workshops were conducted in Tbilisi (28.06.2016), Gori (30.06.2016) and Zugdidi (12.07.2016).
