Community Based Organizations are mostly small scale organizations or informal groups, which serve the needs of the neighborhood or geographical communities (neighborhood, district of the city, village, small town, etc) or take care of the interests of the residents of this community.

PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:

In the era of digital transformation, dependence on information technology services and products has increased significantly. Consequently, the challenges in the field of information security and cyber security have increased.

Also, in a digital world where there is a very fragile line between reality and fiction, it is important for people to know how to protect their personal information so that they do not become victims of online fishing and fraud. For this purpose, an online webinar was planned with Pasha Bank for the representatives of community based organizations.

The meeting was held as part of a series of meetings entitled "Community Conversations". These meetings are held within the framework of the UNDP programme "Empowering Women for Change" as part of the ongoing project For Gender Equality in Georgia".

On July 25, 2021 Pasha Bank conducted a Pro Bono webinar for community based organizations about "Cyber ​​Security in Everyday Life". Pro Bono Webinar was led by Zaza Gabashvili, Head of Information Security Department of Pasha Bank.

During the meeting the participants received information about the following topics:

  • Privecy of personal data;
  • SPAM;
  • Phishing issues;
  • Security of home wireless internet;
  • Email and security;
  • How to protect yourself from cyber attack?
  • How to protect yourself from online banking and banking fraud in general?
