Pro bono support to community activists

In October and November, a significant pro bono mediation project unfolded, uniting six business companies and six civil activists.

The initiative focused on preparing nominees for the "Best Community Initiative" contest, an integral component of the "Community Leaders' Forum," unveiled as "Community Leaders' Forum 2023" on November 16.

During the competition, civil activists presented their projects to the jury and the audience. Company representatives, providing pro bono assistance, played a pivotal role in presenting compelling stories, highlighting key aspects, and crafting engaging presentations.

Six companies actively engaged in the pro bono mediation process: Bank of Georgia, TBC Bank, Credo Bank, APM Terminal, MBC and Tegeta Holding.

About the event: The community development program, rooted in the Civil Society and Sustainable Development Center Georgia (CSRDG) since 1998, aims to strengthen civil organizations and groups in various regions. For comprehensive information about the program's activities, refer to this link.

The program has organized joint community meetings since 2011, fostering the exchange of experiences among community groups and cultivating partnerships between community organizations, government structures, the business sector, and individuals interested in community development. Evolving over the years, the joint meetings reached a larger scale in 2015, transforming into the Community Leaders Forum, a pivotal annual event distinguished by its dynamic format, thematic sessions, and diverse competitions.
